The advanced premium tax credit (APTC) is an advanced monthly credit applied toward your monthly premium. To qualify for an APTC, you must fill out an application and apply. The amount awarded is based on the total household income for the current year.

If you qualify for financial assistance with your monthly premium (APTC), you might also qualify for additional savings on the out-of-pocket costs, deductibles, coinsurance and copayments.
Affordable Care Act Plans
The ACA offers 4 Metallic Plans: Platinum, Gold, Silver & Bronze. They range from $250 to $6,350 in deductibles. To qualify for these plans, you must apply during open enrollment Nov. 15- Feb. 15. You may also apply if you qualify for a SEP (Special Enrollment Period). SEP events are: marriage, birth, adoption, moving or involuntary lose of employer coverage.
Short-term health plan
Short-term health insurance is designed to cover you from when changing jobs causes a break in coverage. Short-term plans can go from as little as one month up to 10 months of coverage.
